During the course of these lessons students will be exposed to everything harp!  The course is skills focused and encourages participants to continue their journey of musical skills and appreciation of music through the unique sound of the harp.  If you already have some harp training this harp ensemble is a great opportunity for you to practice in a group and go the next step with your harp playing by learning from our tutor's amazing skills and experience.

The group of
6-12 participants will have a different music focus each term. Focus areas for 2018 are as follows.
Term 2 - Music for flute & harp + 1000 years (from the twilight movie)
Term 3 - Ed Sheeran's Perfect + Spanish inspired music
Term 4 - Christmas Carols

The group will also be working toward performing at an optional end of term concert. An extra goal for those who may be interested.

Megan, our tutor, has a small number of harps for hire at $50/month.

About the Tutor

Megan has been performing professionally on the harp for over twenty years.   She is renown in various countries for both her playing and public speaking skills and had a passion for making this rare and unique instrument accessible to her local community.
Megan has a Bachelor of Music degree with Honours from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Music Performance degree from the Victorian College of the Arts, and a Master of Arts in Music, Culture and Politics from Cardiff University, Wales.  More information can be found on Megan's website.
