Pottery for Kids

Description
This class is a fantastic introduction to teach your child the basics in pottery. With a focus on the theme of 'animals' students will experiment with pinch pots, coils and slab work. They will learn some basic surface decorating techniques and how to glaze their work. The maximum group size is 8. Price includes clay, firing and all required equipment.
This workshop is open to people aged 8-12 yrs. The Child Parental Consent section of the enrolment form must be completed prior to the first session.
Please note we are strict with the age range for this workshop. If your child is under 8 they cannot take this class, even if enrolling with a sibling. Thankyou for your understanding.
Participants have the opportunity to exhibit in our end of year diversARTy exhibition at Eltham Library Gallery to celebrate their achievements with friends and family.

About the Tutor
Deb Gidley and is a multi disciplinary artist who is passionate about pottery. She loves colour and is fascinated by animals and the smallest details in nature. Deb has experience teaching a range of ages across different art forms. She is committed to being a responsible artist by reusing a diverse range of materials in her art.Target Audience:
