Drama for Kids

There are currently several opportunities for children's drama programs:
  • After school programs at Eltham and Diamond Creek
  • School holiday workshops rotate between all three neighbourhood houses (Diamond Creek, Eltham and Panton Hill)
  • Look out for free trial classes from time to time

School holiday program
Come and join our dynamic and experienced tutor Lynne for a unique opportunity on the school holidays. In this "Variety Concert " 3 hour workshop Lynne will give children fun opportunities to explore their creative side through:

  • mime
  • creative improvisation
  • puppets
  • hats and costumes

Comprising of skits, jokes, monologues, duologues, dancing and singing – putting all this together with a stunning performance at the end for parents and carers.
Bring along any costumes you might have, if you have a song that you would like to present or if you have jokes to tell.
The classes will encourage spontaneity and originality in a friendly and fun atmosphere.

About the Tutor

Lynne Bartlett is a Trinity College of London Associate in Speech and Drama with extensive teaching experience in both schools and retirement homes. She is also a co-writer of over 18 musicals that have been performed in primary schools all over the world.

Teaching is a vocation and I can't imagine doing anything else. Drama is the best subject to help adults and children develop personal skills and enable them to reach their full potential no matter what age.

Watching people either in drama classes or working in productions grow in confidence and self esteem is the most amazing experience.
