Learn to draw realistically

Description

When you look at someone, you are looking at how the features are situated in the face, their size and proportion in relation to each other and the head. Next term Lisa will be running several different drawing classes, each with a different focus. Please see more detailed description below. In each class you will be going through some exercises to help train your hand eye co-ordination, and look at how tonal values, contrast, edges and shadows all combine to give you a great result.

Eyes
Light and shadow affects how we see the eyeball, the skin and hair surrounding the eye. We will look at eyes in the various stages of life from infants to the elderly.

Mouth & Noses
Light and shadow affects how we perceive the features, and we will look at noses and lips in the various stages of life from infants to the elderly.

Portraits
In this workshop we will spend some time going over the features and proportions for drawing a portrait from life, and the last two hours will be working from a live model.

Lisa will provide handouts and some subjects to draw to cater for all levels, from beginner to advanced.

Participants have the opportunity to exhibit in our end of year diversARTy exhibition at Eltham Library Gallery to celebrate their achievements with friends and family.
