Understanding Kangaroos

Would you like to have a deeper understanding of our environment and the wildlife that live in Nillumbik?

Generally Australians have a lack of understanding of kangaroos and are very surprised to hear about what extraordinary creatures they are (as per David Attenborough).

This one day information session will help you raise awareness and understanding of how kangaroos live, including their family structure to better understand our iconic and often misunderstood kangaroos.

Hear from experienced experts working in this field including:
  • A licensed wildlife foster carer
  • A wildlife rescuer will talk about her work
  • A vet from Wildlife Victoria will speak about her work as a wildlife vet
  • A representative of DELPW will give a presentation about  the “Land for Wildlife” programme
  • Peter Hylands filmmaker and conservationist will speak about his role as President of the Australian Wildlife Protection Council

This event is open to people aged 18 years and over.
